Thessaloniki and its local people will star in the National Geographic Traveller, at an article prepared by Mr. John Malathronas, journalist of the award-winning magazine, who visited the city for three days.
The reporter visited Thessaloniki after an initiative of Thessaloniki Hoteliers Association, with the aim to promote the destination to the traveling public of the very popular magazine.
The aim of the journalist is to bring out the creative side of the destination and to present Thessaloniki at its best, making visits to areas of special interest, and interviews with people working in different places and resisting in the economic crisis with innovative ideas they implement.
So, Thessaloniki will be presented through its gastronomy, arts, culture, music and dance while retaining its uniqueness, with references to the history and culture as an integral part of the extensive tribute prepared by the renowned journalist, including Athens and Mykonos as well.
In addition, Mr. Malathronas will present in the form of “recommendations by a travel expert”, two city hotels in the Travel section of the electronic version of The Telegraph, suggesting them to the visitors who wish to visit Thessaloniki.
